I've never thought of it that way.  That's a great way to explain it!

It can be confusing.

I consider them as having separate functions, but still the same person, much like us. There is only one us, but different functions make up who we are; the body, the mind, and the soul.

About Christianity / The Story of Satan: Lucifer the Fallen Angel
« Last post by Sara50840 on December 02, 2013, 03:44:32 pm »
The Story of Satan:
Isaiah 14

Introduction
Believe it or not, Satan was an angel of God.  Satan was the most beautiful angel in heaven, named Lucifer.

Lucifer in Heaven
Lucifer was prideful and jealous of God.  He wanted to be worshiped, too.  Lucifer was cast out of heaven like a bolt of lightning and was stripped of his beauty, name, and rights to heaven.  He was joined by several other angels, who later became demons.

Lucifer / Satan on Earth and in Hell
Now Lucifer's motive was to oppose the mighty plan of God.  He tempts you, me, and he even tempted Jesus (Matthew 4:1-11).  All that Satan wants to do is harm you and flip you to his side.

Defending Against Satan
When you are saved, you don't have to worry about Satan.  Once you are saved, you are going to heaven, but now you can live for God, not Satan.  Yes, Satan will still tempt you, but he will no longer be able to hurt you.  There will be angels protecting you at all times from Satan's evil demons.  They will battle for you, but you won't even realize that they are there.

That is God protecting you.  Yes, there will be a battle against Satan, his demons, and his new human allies, but God will win.  God always wins.

Unless your LDS, we believe they're all three separate beings :) Not to be offensive, I just thought I'd throw that out there. We still believe in them all though.

About Christianity / The Trinity

The Trinity

God The Father

This is the first part of the Trinity.  God is the creator of the world, the Trinity, and of you.  He is the creator of everything that you can ever imagine, even Satan.  (The Story of Satan: Lucifer the Fallen Angel)

Jesus The Son

Jesus is God's son.  God sent his son, as a man, to die for you.  He is the only person who lived to DIE.  He saved you from your sins.

The Holy Spirit

When you are saved, The Holy Spirit is what comes inside your heart to fill in the gap that could not be filled by anything else, no matter what you try to stuff inside.

---

All of these are three different things, but they are one at the same time.  God can take these three forms as he wishes, but he is them all at the same time as well...

Scriptures and Memory Verses / My Two Favorite Bible Verses
« Last post by Sara50840 on November 30, 2013, 07:22:15 pm »
My two favorite Bible verses are John 3:16 and Proverbs 3:5-6.  I posted them here on the forum.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
