So, you have decided to become a Christian.  Congratulations!  Below is a sample prayer that you can pray to God asking for him to come into your heart as the Holy Spirit and save you:


Dear God,

Thank You so much for loving me, even though I am a sinner.  I know that I am a sinner.  I believe that you sent your one and only son, Jesus, to die for my sins, paying the debts that I deserve to pay instead.  I believe that Jesus rose again and lives today in heaven!  Today, I repent and turn away from my sin.  Thank you so much for the wonderful love, grace, and mercy and for changing my life forever! 

Amen.

How to Become a Christian / The ABC's of Becoming a Christian

Admit - You must admit to God that you are a sinner.  You must turn away (repent) from your sins.

Verses:
- Romans 3:23
- Romans 6:23
- Acts 3:19
- 1 John 1:9


Believe - You must believe that Jesus is God's son and that God sent Jesus, his one and only son, to pay the penalty for our sins.

Verses:
- John 3:16
- John 14:6
- Romans 5:8


Confess - You must confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Verses:
- Romans 10:9-10, 13

The Ten Commandments:

On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
